Privacy Policy

We currently collect only your email address and a role selection when you join our waitlist. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than communicating with you about oroForge.

1. Information we collect

When you submit the waitlist form, we collect:

• Your email address
• Your self-identified role (hardware founder, startup, SMB, or other)
• The date and time of submission

We also collect standard technical information automatically when you visit the Site — including IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited — for security purposes and to understand how the Site is used.

As we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, this policy will be updated before those changes take effect.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Notify you when oroForge launches or early access becomes available
• Send product updates and announcements about oroForge
• Understand who is interested in our product so we can build something useful
• Respond to any questions or requests you send us directly

We will not use your email to send unrelated marketing, or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, our legal basis is:

• Consent — by submitting the waitlist form, you consent to receive communications from us. You may withdraw this at any time by unsubscribing.
• Legitimate interests — for technical data collected automatically (IP address, browser info) to operate and secure the Site.

4. Data sharing and third parties

We use the following trusted services to operate the Site:

• Resend / Amazon SES — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — website hosting and infrastructure
• Google Workspace — internal email and business operations

These providers act as data processors under our instruction. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

5. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as the waitlist program is active, or until you request deletion. Deletion requests are fulfilled within 30 days.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of the data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@oroforge.com. We will respond within 30 days. EEA residents may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

7. California residents (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Contact privacy@oroforge.com to exercise your rights.

8. Cookies and tracking

The Site does not currently use cookies or tracking technologies beyond what is necessary to serve the Site. If this changes, this policy will be updated and a consent mechanism will be added before any tracking is enabled.

9. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you have security concerns, contact us at privacy@oroforge.com.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
